Description |
The antibody 4G2 clone binds to flavivirus envelope protein conserved epitope on the fusion loop; Antibodies ZV2, ZV64 or ZV67 are initially from immunized mice, but we humanized them and they bind to Zika envelope domain III. Antibodies Z004 and Z006 bind to domain III, too. SMZAb2 binds to Zika domain II-fusion loop (FL). Antibodies EDE1-C8 or EDE2-A11 were isolated from Dengue patients and also cross-reactive to Zika envelope protein quaternary epitope. |
Background information |
With Zika outbreak in late 2014, flavivirus group draws world attention. There are around 60 flaviviruses and they are transmitted by mosquito and tick bites. Zika virus has also been reported to transmit by sex. Except Zika and Dengue, West Nile virus, yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis viruses in flavivirus group are common to be studied |
